Editorial work is part psychology and part engineer, with a healthy dose of creative ingenuity thrown into the mix. Working with writers to find the best and truest expression of what they're trying to say is something I find tremendously enjoyable. Adding in photographers and layout elements only makes it better! As a visual learner, I'm inclined to spend as much time thinking about the the interplay between text and graphics, white space and images, as I am dotting the i's and eliminating dangling modifiers.
